At Backyard Comfort, as a family-owned business, our goal is to provide you with the highest quality, maintenance-free outdoor furniture. We take pride in our craftsmanship and want you to love your new patio setup. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, our return policy is designed to be as straightforward and stress-free as possible.
Standard Return Policy
If you change your mind about your purchase, we accept returns on unused, standard items within 30 days of delivery.
To be eligible for a standard return, your recycled plastic furniture must meet the following conditions:
Unused and Unassembled: The item must be in the same condition that you received it, unassembled, and free of any dirt, scratches, or wear.
Original Packaging: The product must be returned in its original packaging with all marine-grade stainless hardware, instructions, and accessories included.
Proof of Purchase: A receipt or proof of purchase from the Backyard Comfort website is required.
Please note: Custom orders, personalized items, or final sale clearance items are non-returnable unless defective.
How to Initiate a Return
To start the return process for your outdoor furniture, please follow these simple steps:
Contact Us: Email our customer service team at backyardcomfort9114@gmail.com or call us at 330-440-9114 with your order number and the reason for the return.
Receive Authorization: We will provide you with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and the return shipping address.
Pack and Ship: Carefully package the furniture in its original boxes. We strongly recommend using an insured and trackable shipping method, as Backyard Comfort is not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit.
Return Shipping Costs & Restocking Fees
Because our durable HDPE furniture is heavy and built to last, return shipping costs can be significant.
Customer Responsibility: For standard returns (e.g., changed mind, wrong color ordered), the customer is responsible for all return shipping costs.
Restocking Fee: Standard returns may be subject to a 15% restocking fee, which will be deducted from your total refund amount.
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your returned items, we will send you an email notification. If the return is approved, a refund will be processed to your original method of payment within 5-7 business days.
Damaged in Transit
While our furniture is built to withstand extreme elements, occasionally damage can occur during the shipping process. If your order arrives damaged, please refuse delivery if possible, or contact us within 48 hours of delivery. Please include clear photos of the damaged packaging and furniture so we can arrange for an immediate replacement or part exchange at no cost to you.
Returns vs. Our 15-Year Craftsmanship Warranty
It’s important to note the difference between a standard return and a warranty claim.
Our standard return policy applies to new, unused items you simply wish to return. However, because our furniture is crafted from premium Tangent Materials HDPE and saltwater-graded stainless steel hardware, it is backed by our 15-Year Craftsmanship Warranty.
If your furniture experiences a structural failure, cracks, splinters, or rots—which our weather-resistant material is specifically designed to prevent—this is covered under your warranty, not the standard return policy.
